Anjali (born 11 September 1986) is an Indian film actress and model, who predominantly appears in Tamil films along with few Telugu movies. Following a stint in modelling, she was cast in starring roles in two low-profile Telugu productions, before gaining attention with her critically acclaimed performance as Anandhi in Kattradhu Thamizh (2007), for which she received the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debutante. In 2010 and 2011, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Tamil for her performances in Angaadi Theru and Engaeyum Eppothum respectively, subsequently becoming recognized as one of the "finest young actors" in Tamil cinema, and noted for mostly playing "performance-oriented roles".
Anjali Early Life :
Anjana was born in Razole, East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh as the only daughter of Telugu-speaking parents; She studied up to 10 students in Razole she has two brothers. Along with her family, she then moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and she continued her studies, pursuing a degree in mathematics.

During one of her modeling job , she was spotted by director Shiva Nageswara Rao , who offered her a lead role in his movie Telugu Thriller Picture (2006). Anjali portrayed a ghost haunting their killers in the pictures , which starred two newcomers Anand and Bhanu. She played the lead female role in another company Telugu, romance movie Premalekha Raasa ( 2007) , directed by lyricist Kulasekhar, opposite debutant again, both films received a negative answer , and performed poorly at the box office , otherwise to promote her career in Telugu movie.
She made her debut in Tamil film in the same year in Kattradhu Thamizh, directed by Ram , who has produced strong critics. Anjana won the praise of critics for her role Anandhi, a childhood friend and love interest of a young teacher and now a psychopath (obtained Jeeva). She appeared in two films in 2008 ; Honganasu, her first Kannada project and Aayudham Seivom in Tamil . The latter, which featured her as the female lead opposite Sundar C, was panned by critics, and she has been criticized for taking this role , with reviewers noting that she had nothing to do in the film, "except roll your eyes ."
Then she played Cana , fiery , independent sales girl in a textile showroom in Angadi Theru ( 2010) , who released two years after her last venture. Vasanthabalan- directional tragedy drama focuses on the lives of young employees working in retail stores. The film was shot in a real location on Ranganathan Street in T. Nagar , Chennai with hidden cameras , with Anjana disclosure, they took the form of a particular textile, strange as real salepeople and selling goods.
Angadi Theru was met with rave reviews at the same sample Anjana critics for her performance , which went on to bag several awards , including the Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Tamil .
